Who We Are

Camp Awesome® is a drop off only beach summer program for children ages 4-13. Camp curriculum consists of play, leisure, sports, arts and crafts, water activities, exercise, and positive reinforcement.  Parents will be able to follow their children at any time online through our social media.

Our Mission

Camp Awesome® is devoted to helping youth achieve positive self-esteem, enriched social skills, and a high level of personal growth through a safe, fun, and awesome summer beach experience.

What We Do

Camp Awesome® believes in campers being innovative and creative! Camp Awesome® provides multiple activities which allows campers the freedom to choose the activities they would like to participate in, creating an awesome experience for all.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday – Friday • 10:00am – 4:00pm

June 10th – August 23rd 2024

Extended Hours

9:00am Early Drop Off: Additional $12/day

5:00pm Late Pick Up: Additional $12/day

*Camp will be closed on Thursday July 4th

*Additional days will be added based on staffing

PROGRAMS

MINI

Same great program as our PLUS but structured for our younger campers. Less campers, more counselors and same amount of fun!

Ages: 4-6 years old

Cost: $95/day

Ratio: out of water 8:1 • in water 6:1

*One time registration fee of $25 per child. (Child will receive a free Camp Awesome rash guard the first day of camp!)

PLUS

Our original super fun summer beach camp program renamed!

Ages: 7-11 years old

Cost: $85/day

Ratio: out of water 10:1 • in water 7:1

*One time registration fee of $25 per child. (Child will receive a free Camp Awesome rash guard the first day of camp!)

PRO

Our PRO Program is for our older kids who know the in's and out's of having fun and can now mentor others about what an awesome summer camp experience is all about! 

Ages: 12-13 years old

Cost: $75/day

Ratio: out of water 10:1 • in water 7:1

*One time registration fee of $25 per child. (Child will receive a free Camp Awesome rash guard the first day of camp!)

Proactive Parents

Each of your campers are so special and unique and as a parent you know them best. Working together, we can be sure your camper is set up to have a successful time with us! For more information, check out our Parent's Guide to Awesomeness

#1 ALLERGIES

If your camper requires an EPI Pen please clearly mark their bags with where the medication is located in case of emergency. Please also remind staff at drop off. Our staff changes daily and we want to be sure they are aware. 

#2 SUNSCREEN

Please be sure to apply sunscreen before your camper arrives at the beach. If your camper has fair skin we recommend using Zinc based products and wearing a hat. You can also send them with long sleeve rash guards and thin pants to protect their legs. We spend time in the shade and reapply sunscreen throughout the day, but we find that campers who begin the days with a strong base have better protection from the sun.

#3 SPECIAL NEEDS

If your camper has any special needs ( ie autism spectrum, disabilities..) Please contact us prior to their first day of camp to ensure we can provide the best and safest experience. When you arrive at camp please remind us at check in about the conversation.

Pizza Fridays

Every Friday we will be having pizza for lunch! If you are interested in having your camper join please send them with $5. Unfortunately, this year we will not be providing drinks or additional snacks. Please send them with anything extra you think they made need.

Ice Cream Trucks

CAMP AWESOME® will usually be visited by an Ice Cream Truck daily. The schedule is not readily available as they stop by the area randomly. If you would like to send your camper with cash ($2-$3) to purchase an optional treat from the truck you may do so. Money must be in a sealed bag to prevent loss and may only be shared among household members. Please be aware we can not hold on to cash for the campers and they need to be responsible for it themselves.

COVID-19 Protocols

If your child has come into contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is showing symptoms of having COVID-19 please refer to the LA County Department of Public Health guidelines. Face masks are OPTIONAL
